Jacqueline "Jackie" Lena (Halstead) Fellows, 92, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024.
She was born March 31, 1931, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, the daughter of Homer and Ruth (Gallant) Halstead. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1949.
Jackie married Robert (Bob) L. Fellows on March 4, 1951 in Fort Riley, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2011.
She worked at Elkin's Drug, as a Nurse's Aide and then at Kansas Press Clippings, where she retired in 2010.
Jackie enjoyed casinos, playing cards and dominos, shopping at Walmart, listening to Elvis Presley, John Wayne movies, going for drives and spending time with her family. She was an avid bowler for over 40 years and traveled to Women's National tournaments.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ruth; husband, Bob; and her brothers, Lloyd, Kenneth, Donald and Homer.
She leaves behind her children, Debra (Robert) Miller, Robert W. (Kimberly) Fellows, and Tammy (Brock) Johns; grandchildren, Melissa (Donald) Meinhardt, Robert Shane (Jessi) Fellows, Brent (Serita) Miller, and Dallas (Tara) Fellows along with ten great-grandchildren, Taegan Fellows, John Meinhardt, Alea Fellows, Whitney Wagoner, Sabryn Fellows, Joshua Meinhardt, Brenden Prockish, Reese Miller, Cameryn Meinhardt, Natalie Miller and her brother, Terry Halstead.
A Funeral Ceremony will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
