Jack Lee Benge, 82, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at a local hospital.
Jack was born May 6, 1941, in Clyde, Kansas. He is the son of Harland and Jean (Boling) Benge.
He attended Seaman High School in Topeka, Kansas, and Clyde High School in Clyde, Kansas.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army until his discharge on September 30th, 1969.
He was an ironworker and later owned and managed several mobile home parks in Topeka, Kansas Area.
He owned numerous classic cars and enjoyed showing them at various car shows. Everyone who knew Jack knows that he had a deep passion for classic cars and the color red. He made his own paint color Red that every car he owned was painted in. If there was a car show in Town, you would usually find Jack showing off his prized vehicles.
Jack was proceeded in Death by his Son, Harlen Benge of Topeka. Along with his Parents. Survivors include his 2 grandchildren, Cody B. Benge and Harleigh B. Benge of Topeka, and multiple great-grandchildren. Jack was previously Married to Jean M. Wiedmann and Sandy Benge (Ingenthron) (Surviving). Many extended nieces and nephews, and close cousins who he was the closet to in his life.
At Jack's request, Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. Private inurnment will be in Mount Hope Mausoleum.
