Iris Doreen Yocum, 83, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012.
She was the daughter of William S. and Leah Zelda (Buchanan) Yocum.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews great-nieces and nephews, including her niece and caregiver, Doris (Dan) Hubert, Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
A funeral ceremony will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Private interment will follow at the Shawnee Center Cemetery, Wakarusa, KS. Iris will lie in state from 3-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, 3715 SW 29th St # 100 Topeka, KS 66614 or to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd, Topeka, KS 66617.
