Irene Price Roberson, 94, Topeka, died Tuesday, September 24, 2013. She was born April 2, 1919, in Topeka, the daughter of James Edgar and Jesse Elsie (Bundy) Price.
Irene retired from USD # 501. She was a member of Shawnee Meadows Kingdom Hall.
She was married to Fred Roberson, deceased.
Surviving are daughters: Sheryl Preston and Jan Kendall; sisters: Alice Kadous and Olga Thompson; grandchildren: Jeff Kendall, Kelly Kendall, and Kati Whayne; four step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings: Doris Day, Ina Lou Martin, Elwyn Price, Sr., Clyde E. Price, and Edward J. Price, Sr.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 30, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue. Interment in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Irene will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Sunday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 PM.
