Irene Josephine "Jo" Fleming, 93, passed away April 20, 2018.
Irene was born at Mayetta, Kansas on December14, 1924. She spent most of her life in the Topeka area where she worked for the State of Kansas Department of Revenue for 33 yrs. She was a life time member of FOE.
She is survived by one son, Ronnie (Karen) Rice, Yucaipa, CA; three daughters, Linda Dority, Kansas City, KS., Letty (Ted) Mize, Topeka, KS., Edwina Rice, Topeka, KS; two sisters, Corrine Samqua, Topeka, KS., Geneva (Mike) Curran, Holton, KS; one brother, Robert (Dorothy) Arnold, Topeka, KS; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christa Graham; five brothers, Lester Arnold, Vernon Wilson, Milton Wilson, Albert Arnold, Baby Henry George; and one sister, June Arnold.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
