OBITUARY: Imogene Fern Zachariasen
Imogene Fern Zachariasen, 69, Meriden, died Wed., April 30, 2008, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 30, 1938, in Topeka, the daughter of Herman H. and Nellie E. (Tobler) Stolle.
Imogene worked as a secretary for the Youth Center at Topeka and USD # 337. She was a member of the Meriden United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting, and sewing. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Imogene was married to Delbert Zachariasen on Sept. 9, 1956, in Hoyt. He survives of the home.
Also surviving are 2 sons: Deon (Mary) and Keith (Tammy) all of Topeka; 3 daughters: Royce Schafer of Blue Ridge, TX, Joy Powell of Hiawatha, and Nancy Hug of Mayetta; a brother: Walter Stolle of Silver Lake; 2 sisters: Phyllis Schuette of Blaine and Mildred Plants of Gainesville, GA; and 9 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., May 3, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment in Meriden Cemetery. Imogene will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Fri., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 PM.
