Howard F. Perue, 78, of Topeka passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009.
He was born June 29, 1930 in Laramie, WY the son of Henry and Jessie (Jackson) Perue.
Howard was a U.S. Army Veteran retiring as Communications Chief in 1977.
He was a member of Sutton Lodge #85, A.F. & A.M., Waterville, KS; the Arab Shrine Legion of Honor, Philip Billard Post #1650 V.F.W.; American Legion Post #400 and the Disabled American Veterans all in Topeka.
He was married to Marilyn J. King. She preceded him in death. He married Roberta Walker January 2, 2003. She survives. Other survivors include his daughter Mary J. Myers and her husband Paul, Lawton, OK; his son, Kevin Last and his wife Diane, Leavenworth, KS; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Paula J. Perue.
Cremation is planned. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Philip Billard Post #1650 V.F.W., 3110 S.W. Huntoon, Topeka, KS. Memorial services will be conducted by Golden Rule Lodge #90 A.F. & A.M. and Philip Billard Post # 1650 V.F.W. 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Philip Billard Post #1650 V.F.W.
