Howard A Jackson

June 12, 1954 — February 2, 2025

Howard A. Jackson, a beloved member of his family, passed away on February 2, 2025, at Midland Care Hospice House after a brief battle with brain cancer. Born on June 12, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas, and a 1972 graduate of Seaman High School, Howard lived a life with laughter, camaraderie, and devotion.

Howard was known for his outgoing personality, easily making friends wherever he went. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, often bringing joy through his unique sense of humor, which frequently leaned toward the risque. He was not only a good friend but was also admired for his ornery nature that brought fun to those around him.

In his career as a skilled carpenter, Howard demonstrated craftsmanship and dedication, taking great pride in his work. His mark has been left on numerous homes and businesses around Topeka. Beyond his professional endeavors, he engaged in various hobbies, including a love for listening to classic rock music, playing golf with his friends, and bowling.

Howard was devoted to his wife Sue, caring for her for many years before her passing in 2019. His greatest joy in his last few years was spoiling his dog, Demo. His love for his family was equally profound; as shown when he and Sue adopted and raised their granddaughter. He is survived by his son, Casey (Sara) Jackson, and his daughter, Arthur Jackson. Howard's memory will also live on in the hearts of his sisters, Beth (John) Hartshorn and Linda (Walter) Thompson, as well as his grandchildren, Owen and Benjamin Jackson, his uncle Sharon Wesley (Joan) Jackson, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dear mother, Wilma (Wohler) Jackson, his father, Elmer Jackson, his wife, Sue (Peerman) Jackson, daughter Kelly Jackson, and his best boy, Demo. As we remember Howard Jackson, we celebrate the impact he made on all who knew him, carrying his spirit forward in our hearts.
