Homer R. Brokmann, 80, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital.
He married Barbara June King May 15, 1957. She preceded him in death in 1981. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Pearl Brokmann, two sisters, Ruby Beurman and Betty Edwards, and one brother, Harold Brokmann. Survivors include his daughter, JoRita Brokmann, two brothers, Howard and Hubert Brokmann, and one sister, Ruth Stebbins, all of Topeka.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post #400, and the Men's Auxiliary of Philip Billard Post #1650 V.F.W.. He enjoyed dancing at the Crystal Ballroom at Croco Square.
He will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel where the family will greet friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Hospice Care, 200 S.W. Frazier Cr., Topeka, KS 66606.
