Herman A. Stehlin
SILVER LAKE Herman A. Stehlin, 76, Silver Lake, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at a Topeka hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1927, at Willard, the son of Adolph and Margaret McGrew Stehlin. Mr. Stehlin worked at the Pauline COOP Elevator for 37 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Topeka North Post No. 400 of the American Legion, Silver Lake Senior Citizens Inc. and the XYZ Club of Silver Lake. He married Jessie Lee Renyer on May 26, 1948, in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Eileen Yinger, and her husband, Jay, Silver Lake; two sisters, Shirley Sterling, Topeka, and Phyllis Polston, Salem, Ore.; two granddaughters, Tammy Yinger and Jennie Sexton, both of Silver Lake; two great-grandsons, Tanner Ungeheuer and Michael Bodine; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Mr. Stehlin was preceded in death by a twin son, William Dean Stehlin, Feb. 13, 1949. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at 8-Price Chapel. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Stehlin will lie in state at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Silver Lake United Methodist Church, P. O.
