OBITUARY: Henry K. "Hank" Mosbrucker
Henry K. "Hank" Mosbrucker, 63, Topeka, died Thurs., April 19, 2012, at his home. He was born to Jacob and Rose (Greff) Mosbrucker in Mott, ND, on Nov. 18, 1948. He grew up on a farm at Mott, ND and joined the U.S. Army on Nov. 30, 1966. He served in Vietnam earning several medals and was discharged in 1969. He married Verna Fargo on Nov. 16, 1974. Hank retired from Armco Steel in 1992. Hank and Verna owned and operated B & K Welding and Pizza Parlor; and were partners in Thunderhill Speedway. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Elaine Ketter; his parents; brothers: Donald, Kenny, and Jimmy; and sister, Rosemary. Surviving are his wife, Verna, of the home; son, Brad; daughter, Kristi (Wyatt) Slavens; son-in-law, Mike Ketter; siblings: Caroline (Victor) Scholz, Geraldine (Ed) Strack, LeRoy Mosbrucker, Gerald Mosbrucker, Henrietta Stang (twin), and Joan (Bill) Murphy; grandchildren: Arionna, Jacob, Gavin, Kylea, Jordan, Nicholas, Kyler, Austen, Morgan, and Matthew; great-grandson: Cale; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 23, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. Philip Billard Post # 1650, VFW, will conduct military honors at Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont. Hank will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Sun., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 PM.
