Henry Louis Beland, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, was born on July 8th, 1940, in Gardner, Massachusetts.
He passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas surrounded by his loving family.
Henry attended Gardner High School. After High School he was employed at various places but he spent most of his working career crafting beautiful furniture at Temple Stuarts and Athol Table. He then transitioned to Athol Plastics where he worked alongside his wife, Linda. In 1996 he and his wife moved to Topeka, Kansas where he was employed for many years at Payless Distribution Center where he also worked alongside his wife.
Henry enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower gardens, woodworking, fishing and spending time playing games with his grandchildren. He was very social and enjoyed visiting with people while out in the community. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quiet time with his wife Linda. Henry married Linda (Bush) Beland, on September 1, 1961. They were married for 61 years and had a true partnership as they often worked together in and outside the home.
Henry is survived by his beloved children: Michael (Diana) Beland, Tracy (Steve) McGrath, Carrie (Stacey) Zengel, and David Beland. He was a cherished grandfather to Meghan Zengel, Cameron McGrath, Dylan Beland, Jonathan McGrath, Matthew Zengel, and Alec Beland, as well as a great-grandfather to Loren Beland.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Beland and Margaret (Canty) Beland and his beautiful wife, Linda Beland.
Cremation is planned. No services will be set.
