Henry Barney

Henry Barney, 67, of Topeka passed away at his home on Thursday, January 28, 2021.   He was born July 14, 1953 in Topeka the son of Marion Lewis and Dorothy Barrett Barney. He was in construction for over 30 years.   He last worked at Wolfe Construction Company.   He liked to fish, watch NASCAR, and was a big Jayhawk and Kansas City Chiefs fan.   He enjoyed traveling to Branson with Cindy. They also travelled to Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Barney of Topeka; sons, Lewis Barney, Michael Barney of Topeka; sisters, Ruthann Ritchey of Holdon, Missouri, Janet Mauck (Doug) of Prescott, Arizona, Christine Clement of Bentonville, Arkansas, Beverly Blaser (Pat) of Topeka, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion (Wanda) Barney and Dorothy (Bill) Dain Barrett; sister Mary Alice Greenway; and son Daniel Barney.

Cremation is planned.   A private family graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
