Helen R. Denham Kauffman, 99, of Shawnee, KS, formerly of Topeka, passed away May 26, 2009 in Surprise, AZ.
She was born February 22, 1910 in Garnett, KS, the daughter of Otis E. and Eva (Randol) Norman. She was employed by Fleming Foods in Topeka for 11 years.
She was a member of University United Methodist Church, Topeka, First Baptist Church of Shawnee, KS and a former member of Topeka Chapter 462,O.E.S.
Helen was preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd G. Denham (died 1946) Jesse C. Kauffman (died 1993), her twin sister, Ellen Norman and her sisters, Ione Yarborough and Pauline Pederson. Survivors include her daughters, Dolores Burgett of Surprise, AZ and Eileen Ball of Topeka; her son, Denny Denham of Shawnee, KS; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 1, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
