Helen Leonia Munoz, 63, Topeka died Friday, July 15, 2005 at her home. She was born Feb. 27, 1942 in Mayetta, KS, the daughter of Thomas and Sidney Chase Pahmahmie.
Helen attended Highland Park High School. She had a business degree from the School of Business in Albany Georgia. She was a cosmetologist, graduated from Continental School of Cosmetology. She owned Helen's Beauty Salon at the First National Bank Tower from 1972 to 1974. She graduated from Light of The World School of Ministry. Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman with strong faith in God.
She married Robert "Bob" Melcuidas Munoz Sept. 13, 1959 in Topeka, KS. He survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Michele Renee Munoz, Keller, TX; Yvette Marie Munoz, Euless, TX; and Gisele Ann Barrett, Tecumseh, KS a sister, Joan Dorothy Pahmahmie, Topeka; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a brother Jack Pahmahmie.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Munoz will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
