Helen Louise Lemons

Helen “Louise” Lemons, 84, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019.   She was born September 27, 1934 in Topeka the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Christine P. Percifield Lemons.   Louise was the secretary for the president of Blue Cross Blue Shield and retired after working her entire career there.

She enjoyed road trips with friends, going to Arizona, spending time with her family; especially taking care of her nieces and nephews, going to the Prairie Band casino and enjoyed photography.   She will be remembered as a funny and very witty person.

She is survived by two sisters, Norma Anderson in Illinois, and Carolyn Simpson and husband Jim of Topeka; nieces and nephews, Kim Weis (Alan), Traci Raab (Curt), Lisa Godrey (Tim), Alan Simpson, 10 great nieces and nephews and 23 great-great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Grantville Cemetery.
