Helen Louise Marney

Helen Louise Marney, 76, Topeka, died Saturday , Aug. 9, 2003 at a local hospice house. She was born March 31, 1927, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Russell H. and Mae Frances Fairchild. Mrs. Marney was a homemaker. She married William F. Marney of Topeka, he preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances M. Bowman. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Goldberg, Jacksonville, Fla.; a granddaughter, Tami J. Albrecht, Yankton, S.D.; a grandson, Wilbur Harden, Tampa, Fla.; longtime companion, Boyd Blair, Topeka; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at Parker-Price Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka. Helen L. Marney will lie in state at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Wednesday, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary
