OBITUARY: Mrs. Helen Leah Haid

Mrs. Helen L. Haid, 74, Topeka, died Wed., May 24, 2006, at her home. She was born Jan. 22, 1932, at Wamego, the daughter of Olan and Martha (Hatfield) Wagoner.

Helen was married to John Haid on June 14, 1950, at Topeka. She had lived in Topeka since her marriage.

Surviving are her husband, John, of the home; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Donna and Maurice Reiff and Marjorie and John Boyd all of Topeka; 2 sons: Johnnie Haid and Marvin Haid both of Topeka; a sister, Margaret Pine, of Vancouver, WA; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Sat., May 27, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Helen will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
