Helen Beverly Jenks, 92 of Topeka passed away on Saturday January 28 th , at Hillside Village in De Soto. She was born to Leslie & Sara Boyce (O’Malley) on May 12 th , 1930. Helen graduated from Hayden High School, class of 1948. In 1949, Helen married Floyd E. “Bud” Jenks. Together they had eight children. She will be remembered for her love of quilting, having belonged to several quilt clubs in Topeka over many years.
Helen is preceded in passing by her Parents; Sister, Mary Evelyn; Sons, Steven Lee, Gerald “Gary” & Charles “Chuck” Jenks; Grandson, Patrick Henderson; Great-Granddaughter Cheyanne Branson; and her husband of 53 years, Floyd.
Helen is survived by her five children, Joyce (John) Lowry of Mexico, MO, Michael (Judy) Jenks of Topeka, KS, Theresa (Chris) Beilman of De Soto, KS, Sheila (Jeffrey) Krumrey of Hoyt, KS, and Edward Jenks of Topeka, KS. Also surviving are 17 Grandchildren & 33 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 11 th , from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N Kansas Avenue, Topeka. A Sendoff Blessing will follow after the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Crossroads Hospice of De Soto, KS. A livestream of the services can be found here
