Helen A. Winsor, 94, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016, at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
Helen was born June 2, 1921, in Meriden, KS, to Thomas and Alma Becker. She lived in the Meriden community until she married James R. Winsor on January 20, 1945, in Topeka, KS and they later moved to Grantville, KS where they farmed many years. Helen was a dedicated farm wife. She enjoyed serving her family.
She is survived by her children, Russell and Patricia Winsor, Judy and John Rodman, and Jane and Carl Dunnaway; grandchildren, Andy and LaVell Winsor, Ben and Emily Winsor, Jacob Rodman, Chad Dunnaway, Jill and Kresten Spurling, and Nora Dunnaway; and great-grandchildren, Kade Welp and Brayden Winsor, Collins Winsor, Skye and Gabe Dunnaway, and Brenna and Jasper Spurling.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Grantville United Methodist Church, 3724 South St, Grantville, KS 66429. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Newman, KS. The family will greet friends at the church an hour prior to the service.
