Harvey E. Williams,Jr., 93, of Topeka, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2015 at McCrite Plaza, Topeka, KS. He was born September 9, 1921 in Topeka.
Harvey was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran and served on the USS Hopewell as a Signalman 3rd Class. He married Wilmoth "Willie" J. Holman on January 6, 1945.
She preceded him in death on June 27, 1995. Harvey married Margaret L. Price on February 25, 1996 in Topeka. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 26 years, before retiring.
Harvey is survived by his widow, Margaret of the home; his children, Sandra (Larry) McDaniel, Nancy (Gene) Boden and Donald Williams; six step-children, Dianne Eickenhorst, Julia (John) Trimmer, Rodger Price, Margaret (Jerry) Wilton, David Price and Riley Price; 21 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and five siblings.
Harvey enjoyed playing golf, hunting with his friends, gardening, bowling, traveling and playing cards.
A funeral ceremony will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
