Harry E. Puett, 88, Topeka, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019.
He was born October 3, 1930, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Paul William and Bertha Elizabeth (Binkley) Puett.
He graduated from Topeka High School in 1948.
Harry was a meat cutter for several grocery stores in the area including Lindy's, Falley's, Suttons, and A&P. After many years as a meat cutter, he worked as a carman/painter for the Santa Fe Railroad, Topeka shops.
Harry was a member of South Knollwood Baptist Church.
On August 2, 1949, he married Norma Jean Miller in Burlington, Kansas. She preceded him in death on March 16, 1981. On November 11, 1986, he married Roberta Buchholz in Topeka.
Survivors include four children: Peggy (Roger) Bukovatz, Waverly, KS; Cathlene (Wally) Goodnow, Pine, CO; Daniel (Chris) Puett, Republic, MO and Randy Puett, Topeka; one brother, Marvin Puett, Republic, MO; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Puett, Sr., grandson, Brandon Puett and sister, Mary Walters.
Harry enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping and boating.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Monday, February 18, 2019 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Sunday at the funeral home.
