Harold E. Waetzig, 74, of Carbondale, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. He was born August, 9, 1950 in Carbondale the son of James Robert and Georgia Hill Waetzig.
Harold was married to Susan Wideau September 27, 1968. They have two children, Wendee (Lonnie) Wallace and Bryan and (Terry) Waetzig; grandchildren, Daniel (Lexi) Waetzig, Emily (Taelor) Noonan, Erin Neugebauer, Shelby Waetzig, Ben (Megan) Barnes, Nate (Krystal) Barnes and Megan (Ryan) Caldwell eight great grandchildren. Harold is also survived by sisters, Beverly (Daryl) Vail, Karen Schalk and Sally (James) Worsley.
He is preceded in death by Sharon Priddy, Helen Brock and James Waetzig.
Harold enjoyed working on the Kansas Turnpike for 28 years. He also enjoyed hunting on a regular basis. He participated in many Clay Shot events. Harold had received his 40-year sobriety pin (yay). He will be missed as Santa Claus which he thoroughly loved. Harold enjoyed reading to the kids at school. He just enjoyed life.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Parker-Price and Davidson Cremation and Funeral Services, 245 NW Independence, Topeka KS 66608. ppdfuneral.com
