Harold Calvin Robertson, 76, Topeka, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Aldersgate Village. He was born May 23, 1929 in Chicago, IL, the son of Emery and Iva Valentine McClain Robertson.
Harold was an electrician for the Santa Fe Railroad, retiring from the V.A. Medical Center in May of 1991. He served in the Air Force from 1946 until 1949.
He was a member of Brookwood Covenant Church, Philip Billard Post #1650 of the V.F.W., former member of the American Legion and was a 25 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
He married Irene Louise Chitwood, December 23, 1950 in Arkansas. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Deborah Busey, Topeka; son, Ralph Robertson, Pasadena, MD; two brothers, Emery Robertson, Jr. Las Vegas, NV; Paul Robertson, Topeka; two sisters, Audrey Wilson, Lexington, KY; Marjorie Hollenbeck, Topeka; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2005 at Brookwood Covenant Church. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Military graveside honors will be conducted by a funeral detail from Ft. Riley.
Mr. Robertson will lie in state after 12:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
