OBITUARY: Harold LeRoy Langston, Sr.
Harold LeRoy Langston, Sr., 84, Lawrence died Thurs., Aug. 18, 2005 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1921 at Effingham the son of Louis Francis and May Belle (Coder) Langston.
Mr. Langston was employed by Heetco in Oskaloosa for many years before retiring. Later he and his wife worked the gate at Clinton State Park selling permits. He was an Army Veteran of WW II in the South Pacific. He and his wife enjoyed camping and traveling and wintered at Alamo, TX for several years.
He was married to Jaquita Mustoe on Dec. 24, 1940 at Topeka. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Harold (J.R.) and his wife LaVon Langston, Topeka; two daughters: Sue Ann Langston-King, Topeka and Shelley Langston, Lawrence; a sister: Marguerite Zink, Valley Falls; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Langston was cremated and no services are planned.
