Harold E. Becker

Harold E. “Butch” Becker, Sr., age 77, of Ozark, Alabama passed away November 8, 2020 at Bel Air, Maryland.  Harold was born March 30, 1943 in Topeka, KS the son of Albert and Eileen (Affholder) Becker.  Harold graduated from Lecompton High School in 1961.  He married Verna Kent, they later divorced.  Harold worked at Morris Laboratory, Essex drug distributors and  Sunflower Ammunition Plant in Desoto.   He served in the U.S. Army.  Harold was married to Georgia Becker.  They later divorced.  Harold worked at Hills Pet Nutrition and then reentered the Army where he worked as a Veterinarian Tech for 20 years.  He served in Okinawa and the Philippines.  He was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood and served in Vietnam.  After Harold retired, he moved to Macon, Missouri where he raised Labradoodle dogs and worked at a lumber company. He worked as an FDA inspector of exotic animals.  He later moved to Alabama.   He was married to Julie Becker at this time.  They later divorced.

Harold is survived by two sons, Harold E. Becker of Lecompton and Richard Becker of the Philippines; a brother, Gary Becker of Power, Montana; two sisters, Mary E. “Betsy” (John)  Tarvin of Oketo, KS and Wanda Meinhardt of Tecumseh, KS. Harold was preceded in death by a sister, Sevilla Sellers.
