Harold Edward Baker, 94, Dobbins, California, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005 at his home. He was born Aug. 4, 1911, in Wolfrod, North Dakota, the son of Walter and Pheobee Josephine Levine Baker.
Harold worked at Seaboard Co. as a flour miller for 32 years, retiring in 1976. He moved to Topeka in 1930 and to Dobbins, CA two and a half years ago. He was a member of FBOE Aerie #58, Moose Lodge #555 and Oakland I.O.O.F. #640.
He married Frances E. Mahoney, May 4, 1959 in Carthage, Mo. She died April 14, 1997.
He is survived by three daughters, Arlyce S. Baker, Dobbins, CA; Nancy K. Smith, Gerber, CA; Joyce Jellesed, Dobbins, CA; one son, Dennis "Blake" Baker, Sacramento, CA; eight grandchildren thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Baker will lie in state from 3:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug.11, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel.
