Gwenda Steele, 69, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023.
She was born November 11, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of James and Anna (Spaulding) Filkins.
She graduated from Highland Park High School.
Gwen loved to be outdoors and spend time with her family. She was blessed to be a stay at home mother for over 30 years.
She married Gregory Steele on January 2, 1988 in Topeka, Kansas, he survives of the home. Other survivors include her children, Brent (Kirsten) Greene and Brooke Steele; grandchildren, Alec Greene, Collins Greene, Colton Greene, and Sutton Greene; brothers, James (Susan) C. Filkins, III, Charles (Marilyn) Filkins, and Steven Filkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna and her sister, Kathryn Filkins.
Cremation is planned. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Parker-Price 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608.
