Grace Runkle, 93, of Topeka passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021.  She was born August 14, 1928 on a farm west of Elmont the daughter of Carl and Emma Stovall Ausherman.  Grace graduated from Seaman High School in 1945.  She attended Elmont United Methodist Church her entire life.  She married Jack Runkle on April 10, 1949 at her parent’s house.

Survivors include her children, Connie Arbogast, Larry (Debbie) Runkle, Janet (Steve) Hayes; daughter-in-law, Nancy Runkle; eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Runkle; her sisters, Hazel Fussnegger, Thelma Shubkagel; her brother, Harold Ausherman; and her husband Jack.  Grace went home to her Savior four hours after her twin sister, Mary Yoder.  They entered this world together, they left this world together, always TWINNING.

She will lie in state at Davidson Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, November 19.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday morning at the funeral home.  Private family graveside services will be later at Prairie Home Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society.   To leave the family a message, please visit www.davidsonfuneral.com.
