Grace Kay Dickerson

Grace K. Dickerson, age 78, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at her home in Topeka.  Grace was born September 20, 1943 in Topeka the daughter of George and Virginia (Weese) Roth.  Grace married Thomas Jackson, he preceded her in death.   Later she married Frank Dickerson, he preceded her in death.  Grace and Frank lived most of their life in the Overbrook community.  She worked as a waitress most of her life at restaurants such as McFarland’s and Tony’s in Topeka.  She worked as a para at the Overbrook School system for many years.  Grace is a member of the Lakeview Church of the Nazarene.  She enjoyed playing BINGO, going to the casinos and dancing in her early years.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge and Post #400 Auxiliary.  She enjoyed shooting black powder guns and was very good at it.  Grace loved her family and was happiest when surrounded by them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon Lee Roth and Robert Roth; and two sisters, Verna Jean Deem and Joan Bowles.

She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Corber and Linda Ames, both of Topeka, along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, May 28, 2022 at noon at the Lakeview Church of the Nazarene.  A light lunch will be served.  davidsonfuneral.com.
