OBITUARY: Gordon Paul Gustin
Gordon Paul Gustin, 73, Topeka, died Mon., April 12, 2010. He was born July 31, 1936, at Fall River, the son of S. Paul and Luella G. (Hatcher) Gustin. He was retired from KDOT and was a bus driver for Seaman 345. Gordon was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, # 555 and was awarded the Pilgrim Degree. He was also a member of Seaman Congregational Church, Golden Rule Lodge # 90, AF & AM, and Topeka Scottish Rite Bodies. Gordon was married to Louise (Welch) on June 30, 1957, at Baxter Springs. She preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 1996. Surviving are a daughter: Candy Gustin of Topeka; a son: David Gustin of Wright City, MO; a sister: Betty Stockebrand of Yates Center; a brother: Kenneth Gustin of Highland, IL; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thurs., April 15, 2010, at Seaman Congregational Church, 2036 NW Taylor. Interment in Rochester Cemetery. Gordon will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wed., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Seaman Congregational Church, P.O. Box 8730, Topeka, KS 66608-0730.
