OBITUARY: Goldie M. Runyan
Goldie M. Runyan, 85, of Topeka, passed away Mon., June 11, 2007, in Dandridge, TN. She was born July 16, 1921 in Quinter, KS, the daughter of John P. and Carrie R. Phelps Sample.
Goldie was a member of Northland Christian Church. She has lived in Topeka since 1926.
She married James T. Runyan, August 4, 1940 in Oskaloosa, Kansas. He died March 11, 2004.
Survivors include son, Wayne L. Runyan, Topeka; daughter, Shirley D. Marquardt, Dandridge, TN; son, Ronnie J. Runyan, Topeka; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Sat., June 16, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment will be in Rochester Cemetery.
Goldie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Northland Christian Church 3102 N. Topeka Blvd. Topeka, Kansas 66617.
