Goergia M.Waetzigriley O'Dell

Georgia M. Waetzig Riley O'Dell, 93, of Topeka, passed away Friday, October 15, 2010.

She was born September 30, 1917 in Carbondale, KS, the daughter of George S. and Elizabeth (Reid) Hill.

She worked for Squat and Gobble for several years. She later worked for Memorial Hospital for 20 years.

Georgia married James Waetzig on December 31, 1938. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1970. She married Harry L. Riley on July 1, 1972. He preceded her in death in October of 1988. She married Ralph O'Dell on May 30, 1992. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1996. Survivors include her children, Beverly (Darrell) Vail, Topeka, KS Sharon (Floyd) Priddy, Silver Lake, KS, Karen (Billy) Schalk, Topeka, KS, Helen Brock, Topeka, KS, Harold (Susan) Waetzig, Carbondale, KS, Sally (James) Worsley, Tecumseh, KS; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Bill (Crystal) Hill, Berryton, KS, and a sister, Nellie Angle, Topeka, KS. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Waetzig, Jr. in 2004; two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Richland, KS.
