Gloria Montgomery

Gloria L. Montgomery, 77, Topeka, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005 at Midland Hospice House. She was born Aug. 6, 1927 in Council Grove, KS the daughter of William Arthur and Amanda Martenson Jorgensen.
She was preceded in death by a son Joseph Montgomery on July 26, 2000.
Gloria graduated from Alta Vista High School in 1946. She worked at the Multiple Sclerosis Society for 30 years retiring in 1987. Gloria enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She was known as an excellent cook by her family and friends.
She married Robert R. Montgomery, Sept. 7, 1947 in Topeka, KS he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Nancy L. Lutz and her husband Ron, Topeka.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005 a t Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Montgomery will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel where the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
