Gloria "June" Cunningham

Gloria “June” Cunningham, age 97, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Brewster Place Healthcare Unit in Topeka.  June was born July 20, 1924 at Pomona, KS the daughter of Willard J. and Caroline (Fabian) Houser.  She graduated from Wellsville High School and attended Ottawa University.  She married Roy Melvin Cunningham November 29, 1942 in Wellsville, KS.  He preceded her in death March 20, 1996.  June was a longtime member of West Side Baptist Church where she was active with the church choir.  June worked as a daycare provider for many years.  She later was a member of the Brewster Place Singers.  June was preceded in death by a brother, David A. Houser and his wife, Ruth; and two son-in-laws, Scott Brandon and Paul Lynn.  June is survived by a son, Mark (Cheryl) Cunningham of Howard, CO; two daughters, Karen Lynn of Topeka and Linda Brandon of Milan, TN; a sister, Mary Carolyn Isbell of Lawrence; seven grandchildren, Brant (Robin) Brandon, Brad (Neslie) Brandon, Amy (Scotty) Brown, Cathy Lynn, Gary (Sharon) Lynn, Joshua (Tia) Cunningham and Anjuli Cunningham, and 10 great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Seth, LaMartez, Sydny, Alex, Asa, Harper, Hannah, Emily,  Ethan, Ashta and Daniella.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the West Side Baptist Church.  Visitation will be Saturday one hour before services from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. also at the church.  Memorials may be made West Side Baptist Church and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.  davidsonfuneral.com
