Glenda Peden

Glenda J. Peden, 71, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024. She was born December 16,1952 in Topeka the daughter of Wayne and Charlotte Hundley Becker. She attended school at Meriden and graduated from Jefferson West High School in 1970. She married Bill Peden on May 17, 1979 in Miami, Oklahoma.

Glenda and Bill lived west of Meriden in Shawnee County. She was a school bus driver, first as a part time driver and later full time. She drove for 27 years in the Seaman School District. She enjoyed taking care of the flowers at her home, Bingo, playing cards with her friends at the VFW in Meriden and following her favorite sports teams, K-State, the Royals and Chiefs. Glenda very much enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband William Peden of Topeka; children, Jennifer Martin and Lee of Tonganoxie, Kansas, Michelle and Sean Juarez of Topeka and William and Mary Peden of Topeka; brother, Bill Becker of Meriden and sister Donna Anderson in Florida; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Donald Becker in 1976.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Parker-Price and Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Midwest Transplant Network.
