Glenda L. Bosse, age 65, Topeka, passed away in her home on May 28, 2013, with her daughter at her side.
Glenda was born on October 12, 1947, the daughter of Ralph and Elaine (Cox) Sauvage. She graduated from Onaga High School in 1965. She married Larry E. Bosse on March 27, 1966 in Havensville, Kansas.
Glenda retired from the Social Security Administration after 20+ years of service in December of 1997, prior to that she was employed by the State of Kansas.
Glenda was an active member of the National Guard Family support, Enlisted Association of the National Guard and The Moose Lodge of Topeka.
Glenda is survived by her daughter, Colette Hernandez and grandchildren, Emily R. Hernandez and Eric E. Smith. She is also survived by 3 brothers; Harold Sauvage (Sue), Karl Sauvage (Dee), and Gordon Sauvage (Laura). She is also survived by a large family of in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins which she treasured. She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Bosse, husband, Larry Bosse and sister, Shirley Randel.
Glenda will lie in state after 3 p.m., Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Church services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1716 SW Gage on Saturday, June 1st at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Havensville Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Enlisted Association of the National Guard Auxiliary, P.O. Box 841, Topeka, KS 66601-0841 or to Moose Lodge No. 555, 1901 N Kansas Ave, Topeka, KS 66608-1899.
