Glenda Jean Cook

Glenda Jean Cook , 65, of Topeka died Saturday, August 3, 2019.   She was born October 13, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Glenn and Loris Maxine Pierce King. Glenda grew up in Kansas City and Topeka, moving back and forth several times.   She was a home heath care provider.   She also worked for the state of Kansas.

She enjoyed knowing where police cars were going in an emergency and tagging along when she saw one headed somewhere.   She also enjoyed visiting with her cousin on the phone, watching police shows on TV, and loved brownies. She collected cow and monkey figurines.   Glenda spent a great deal of her life with her grandchildren because they were so important to her. Recently she shared her love with a great grandbaby.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Gonzalez of Topeka; brother, Raymond; sisters, Jackie and Judy; grandchildren, Jared “BooBoo” of Topeka, Johnnie “Lil Slugger” of Westcliffe, Colorado, Jaylea “Duckie” of Topeka, Jersey “MooMoo” of Topeka, Jaxson “Lil Boy Blue” of Topeka; her great grandson Alex “Lil” Man” of Topeka.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Goodyear Shelter House The date and time are pending.
