Glen E. Mentzer, Jr

Glen Eugene Mentzer, Jr., 69, of Topeka passed away on January 12, 2022.  He was born September 27, 1952 in Topeka the son of Glen E. and Rosalie Rosetta Mentzer.   He loved his family and they him.   He was loved by his nieces and nephews, who referred to him as “Papa G.”  Glen worked at Jostens, Frito-Lay, Shawnee County Parks and Recreation, and the Menninger Foundation.   He enjoyed racing midget go-carts when he was young and was a lifelong race fan, going to several nationally known races with his family through the years.  He enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially the Chiefs and the Jayhawks.

He is survived by his sister, Sandra Mentzer; niece and nephew Laura Alejos and Rodney North (Crystal); great nieces and nephews, Alyssa (Niko), Chaz, Trey (Cippy), Alexis, Tayler and Tyler; and great-great nieces and nephews, Bryson, Alexa Aubree, Camdyn and Brently, and aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private family service is planned at a later date.
