7. Background: He graduated from Meriden High School and attended Washburn University.
He was a truck driver in the local area with his Father for Brights Freight Service for over 25 years. He
then became a contractor in general construction being self-employed. He worked as automobile mechanic.

He tractor pulled for over 13 years. He designed and built the sled that was used in the tractor pulls. It was
called the Instigator.

He did a lot of charity work for the Meriden Threshing Association. He helped move the log cabin on to the
grounds and helped build the scales for weighing the tractors before the pulls. He served as the secretary of
the Tractor Pull Association.
