OBITUARY: Gladys M. Foster
Mrs. Gladys M. Foster, 93, Topeka, died Fri., June 19, 2009, at Plaza West. She was born Oct. 31, 1915, at Whiting, the daughter of Clarence and Dora (Marshall) Edds. She graduated from Washburn Rural in 1933. She was a beautician most of her life. Gladys was married to Clifford J. Foster on March 14, 1937, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1981. Surviving are 2 sons: Clifford "Kip" Foster and Tommy C. Foster both of Topeka; a sister: Fern Koehler of Topeka; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Wed., June 24, 2009, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Gladys will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Tues., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
