Gertrude Wood

Gertrude Wood, 87, of Topeka passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Midland Hospice House. She was born on October 17, 1920 in Oklahoma. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband Emery. She is survived by one son, Bob and wife, Betty; one grandson, Burke and wife, Susan ; great grandsons Joshua and Christopher of Lecompton , one granddaughter, Belinda Janes and husband, Kevin; great grandsons, Ryan Skinner and Derrick Janes, and one great granddaughter, Ashlee Janes of Perry. Gertrude was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Gertrude was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2007 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. She will lie in-state after 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W.
