Gertrude Maria "Trudy" Gill
Gertrude Maria "Trudy" Gill, 82, Tecumseh, died peacefully at her home on Monday, January 9, 2017. She was born February 24, 1934, in Immenstadt, Germany, to Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Hausler.
She was a war bride and came to the United States and became a United States Citizen. She was a licensed in cosmetology and had worked in floral design. She retired from the Sunflower Defense Plant.
Trudy was a member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary in Lawrence and the Auxiliary to Topeka North Post # 400, of the American Legion.
Surviving are her long-time companion: Carl Sloan of the home; two daughters: Melissa Eudaly of Lawrence and Heidi Lund of Crescent City, CA; a grandson: Joshua Eudaly of Lawrence; and three sisters: Anny, Frieda, and Ria.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Maple Hill.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral chapel.
