Gerald Shoemaker

Gerald Shoemaker, 67, of Topeka. Kansas passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Midland Hospice in Topeka, Kansas.   He was born July 18, 1954 in Fort Madison, Iowa the son of Maurice and Hazel Pusser Shoemaker.   Gerald was raised in Burlington, Iowa.   He moved to Topeka, Kansas in 1996.  He worked as a machinist for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Lee Shoemaker; mother, Hazel Pusser Easley Shoemaker; brother, Danny Shoemaker; and sister, Debbie Williams.

Survivors include his three brothers, Wayne Easley and Stephen Shoemaker both of Burlington, Iowa and Charles “Sonny” Easley of Henderson, Tennessee; three sisters, Diane Roberts, Teresa Twidwell and Beverly Shoemaker all of Henderson, Tenn.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Sweet Lips Cemetery in Henderson TN.
