OBITUARY: Gerald Steven "Jerry" Eberhardt
Jerry was born Sept. 1, 1958, in Jamestown ND, to Duane and Mary Eberhardt. Later siblings Dawn and Thomas were born. The family moved to Topeka in 1967. Jerry's love of racing began early in life and was always a motorsports enthusiast. He graduated from Seaman High School and KAVTS in 1976. Jerry was married to Danyse Stewart from 1980 to 1990; they had two daughters. Jerry has owned multiple car lots since 1979. At his passing, he was the owner of WizzBy in North Topeka and was an avid supporter of the local community. He is survived by daughters: Tina and Michelle Eberhardt; stepdaughter: Danielle (Troy) Mitchell; parents: Duane and Mary Eberhardt; siblings Thomas (Jillene) Eberhardt and Dawn (Aaron) Neuhalfen; 2 grandchildren; and a large extended family. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Fri., Oct. 30, 2009, at Northland Christian Church, 3102 NW Topeka Blvd. Interment in Rochester Cemetery. Jerry will lie in state after 4:00 PM, Thurs., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
