Gerald Grant Frost "Frosty", 80, Grantville, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018.
He was born August 10, 1937, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Grant and Phoebie (Hunt) Frost.
Frosty was a deputy with the Shawnee County Sheriff's Department for over 10 years and later owned and operated Frosty's Gun Repair, where he specialized in Winchester restoration.
Frosty was a past member of the Masonic Lodge and Arab Shrine where he rode on the Mounted Patrol. He loved horses and trail riding. In his early years he enjoyed fast draw competitions.
Gerald married Alice E. Frost on July 2, 1961 in Topeka, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Becky (Brad) Hiebsch, Aleta (Mike) Boucher and Nina (Floyd) Johnson; grandchildren, Audrie, Adam, Adrienne, Nicole, Camille, Nelina, Anna, Floyd, Jr., Virginia "Ginny" and Karrie; great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Jase, Savanna, Autumn, Lilly, Jacob and Alarick and brother, Kenneth (Joann) Frost.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carl Joseph Frost.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. Interment will follow at Grantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
