OBITUARY: Gerald E. "Jerry" Nudson
Gerald E. "Jerry" Nudson, 89, Topeka, died Sat., July 3, 2010, at his home. He was born in Topeka on Nov. 24, 1920, the son of Clarence A. and Laura M. (Andrews) Nudson. Jerry served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II, and was stationed in England and France. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad after 40 years of service. Jerry was a member of the Kansas Archeological Society and Kansas Prairie Packers. He was married to Doretta Schutter, who preceded him in death. He was married to Judy Fultz, who survives of the home. Also surviving are sons and daughters-in-law: Rose Nudson of Sun Lakes, AZ, Steven R. and Linda Nudson of Powder Springs, GA, and Mark L. and Susan Nudson of Mission; step-children: Virgil Fultz, Donna Fultz, Nancy Fultz, Teri Fultz, and Neil Fultz (Darcy); grandchildren: Wade Nudson, Stephanie Groves, Rae Nudson, Lorie Murnan, Jason Nudson, Paul Nudson, and Chris Nudson; step-grandchildren: Heather New, Dan Fultz, Derek Fultz, Derrill Fultz, John Brun, Ben Brun, Cole Brun, and Lisa Quillin; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Dale E. Nudson; a grandson, Dusty Nudson; step-sons: Evan Fultz and Craig Fultz; a brother, Wayne "Huck" Nudson; and sisters: Marge McCoy and H.A. Weber. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tues., July 6, 2010, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka.
