George L. Shaffer, 72, Topeka passed away March 16, 2018.
George was born July 13, 1945 in Council Grove, KS the son of, George and Peggy (McKinney) Shaffer.
He married Linda Longstaff on July 5, 1963 in Lyndon Kansas.
George worked for the Local 77 and Local 2 for 36 years. He loved his job and working with sheet metal. He also enjoyed dancing, bowling, baseball and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Shaffer; daughter, Debra (Kent) Harr; son, George L Shaffer I; grandchildren, Shayne and Sheldon Harr, George II, Brooke, Bailee, Channing Shaffer; a great granddaughter, Harliegh all of Topeka, brothers, Donald (Pam) Shaffer, Taipei,Taiwan and John (Vickey) Shaffer, Corpus Christi, TX.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
