George Harold Jack, 60, of Republic, MO, formerly of Topeka, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008.
He was born January 27, 1948 in Topeka, KS, the son of Clifford Orville and Elizabeth (Stewart) Jack. He served in the United States Army for 21 years before retiring. He was employed by Campbell Ford in Ozark, MO
George married Lola Mae Foth on November 1, 1980 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Emery (Shawn), of Topeka; two grandchildren, Destiny and Brendon Emery; a sister, Mary Shisler of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, David Jack.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment with military honors conducted by Ft. Riley funeral detail will follow at Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont, KS. Mr. Jack will lie in state after 3 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.
