Geneva L. Howe, 91, of Topeka passed away Friday, May 19, 2006 at Aldersgate Village.
She was born June 23, 1914 near Lyndon, the daughter of James H. and Anna M. Kingsborough Howe.
She was employed as a clerk/typist for the State of Kansas in the Motor Vehicle Dept. for over 20 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Kansas Ave. United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a 50 year member of the Oakland Rebekah Lodge # 616 of Topeka.
She is survived by three sisters; Lucille Giella of Colorado Springs, CO, Mary M. Dye of Lee's Summit, MO and Viola Amon of Topeka; a brother, Cecil P. Howe of Greenwood, DE and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Howe will lie in state after 3:00 pm, Monday, May 22 at Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel, 245 NW. Independence, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm that evening. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, May 23 at the funeral home with burial to follow at 3:00 pm that afternoon in Twin Grove Cemetery in Severy, KS.
